UVC LIGHTFORCE IS EFFECTIVE IN ELIMINATING 99.9% OF SURFACE & AIRBORNE PATHOGENS

HOW IT WORKS

UV-C wavelengths inactivate microbes by damaging their DNA. With UV technology, it is possible to destroy a majority of pathogens within minutes without the addition of chemicals and without harmful side effects. Our UV-C devices are inexpensive, highly efficient and absolutely reliable.

UV-C is strongly absorbed by nucleic acids (DNA & RNA) of microorganisms, which causes defects that prevent the organism from replicating and carrying on vital metabolic functions. There is some variability in different bacteria and spores sensitivities to UV-C radiation which determines the amount of exposure that is needed for disinfectant, so it is always best to maximize direct UV-C exposure.

As with bacteria, the nucleic acids of viruses are also damaged by UV-C radiation. Viruses are more diverse in structure than bacteria (containing either RNA or DNA), however, there is data that suggests the UV dose needed to disinfect surface and airborne viruses is similar to the dose needed to disinfect bacteria.

WHY CHOOSE UVC LIGHTFORCE

The Lightforce was founded in Bloomington, Indiana by an Infectious Disease physician, a local businessman and his inventive son. Through their collective efforts, an economic mobile, self-contained open-chamber germicidal cleaning device was designed and tested to meet the environmental surface cleaning requirements and demands of the healthcare industry. The device is patent pending.

Have the ability to sanitize entire facilities with more than one unit at a time. Our units can be purchased at a fraction of the cost vs. competition.

Bacterial killing is achieved by direct short exposure to UV-C or by related short exposure to UV-C.

Germicidal UV-C light has a proven history of reliable biocidal activity against a wide range of pathogens.
